“Mom, I’m going to need you to schedule a meeting.”
“A meeting? You mean like a playdate?”
Piper rolled her eyes. “No, I mean a meeting. With Madeline. We have club business to discuss.”
“Alright. I’ll schedule some time at the end of the week.”
“Yes. That will do. And we’ll need snacks.”
“Playdate…er…Meeting. Snacks. Got it.” I wrote my instructions down on my notepad like the dutiful administrative assistant I clearly am.
“Blueberry muffins. Seaweed. Cantaloupe. Lemonade. Did you write that down?”
Oh boy! That is too funny. I do wonder what the club business is all about.
I’ll be taking notes when the club meets. Don’t you worry. There will be minutes.
Do tell, how does she enjoy her seaweed? Hubby just bought some sheets of it for making homemade sushi, but I’ve heard of the health benefits of it in other forms!
The Piper loves a seaweed snack, especially one with brown sugar. Here is her favorite:
Thank you for the link – what a versatile food! I vote for the wasabi…
You can never go wrong with wasabi, although Piper would disagree.
Mark said if one didn’t know Piper they would think you were making this up. But we have heard these types of exchanges without own ears. What a one-of-a-kind character she really is.
Awesome! My daughter is the same way except that she has grown tired of waiting for me to fulfill my administrative duties and has taken to writing notes to her friends with her contact information so their parents can call me to arrange “meetings”.
Sounds like she’s on the right track, Nancy. I don’t remember when I signed up to be my kids’ social chair, but I’d gladly hand over the reigns to them.
